Printable Flier	In 2004, the Oakland Township Historical Society (OTHS), Oakland Township Historic District Commission, Oakland Township Parks and Recreation Commission and numerous volunteers worked together to save the historic 1879 Flummerfelt Barn. The OTHS hopes that this DVD documenting the "grassroots rescue" efforts will inspire other groups and governments to find ways to preserve historic structures and other community assets for the future. As communities grow and change over the years, this DVD shows preservation is possible with the right amount of dedication, leadership, and cooperation between the various stakeholders in the community.
